Work I’ve been doing and things I’m thinking about.

Dreamy Place returns with a brand new look

The first of a few launches this autumn! Dreamy Place returns to Brighton in October and I’ve just launched the new website. I gave the festival a major brand refresh this year, inspired by the theme of nature and our changing relationship with the natural world. It’s quite a departure from previous years, with a new look that runs through the website and the wider festival. It’s been great working with Jamie and Moritz again to bring it all together.

End of summer update

Summer is coming to an end, and it’s been a good one. Work has carried on quietly in the background, with a few bigger projects taking shape alongside some smaller ones. It’s been nice to get plenty done while still enjoying the slower pace of summer.

I’ve always liked that fresh start feeling that comes with September, when everyone comes back from the summer and things start picking up again. I’m looking forward to autumn and seeing a few of those summer projects finally make their way out into the world.

More to share soon.

Dreamy Place returns for 2026

Online exhibition launch for Syncing Space

Following a fantastic Spring residency on Syncing Space, the accessible online arts platform I design and develop with Sarah Pickthall, the artists have now launched their online exhibition. It features some excellent work, and huge thanks to everyone involved for making it such a pleasure to work on.

Does it matter where I work?

I live and work in Madrid, but most of the people I work with don’t.

A lot of my clients are in Brighton and elsewhere in the UK, with others dotted around further afield. In practice, it makes very little difference. Madrid is only an hour ahead of the UK, which actually works quite nicely. I’m already an hour into the day before the UK catches up.

It feels particularly normal now. Since the pandemic, people seem much less concerned about where everyone is. A video call with someone a few streets away isn’t really any different from one with me in Madrid.

I still get back to Brighton, and I like having that connection. But I also really like being able to live here and work with people pretty much anywhere.

Website updates for Murray Ballard

I’ve just launched some updates on photographer Murray Ballard’s website, including thumbnail galleries for each project, a new online store, and overall speed and performance improvements. It was a pleasure to build on his existing design and enhance it while keeping the clean, minimal feel intact.

What happens when you email me

You email me.

It lands in my inbox. I read it. And within a day I reply.

There’s no account manager, project manager or sales team. If we work together, the person replying to your emails is the same person designing your work, building your website and sending you the invoice at the end.

It’s just me, which keeps things nice and simple for everybody.

New website for ABCover

ABCover, the education insurance specialists, have a new website, which I have launched following a fast turnaround project. I designed and built a clean, modern site focused on clarity, ease of navigation, and an improved user experience.
